Translate Text & SRT

Subtitles made to sound local, right on cue. The Subtitling and Dubbing styles are built to turn slang, jokes and idioms into natural local equivalents, and Dubbing mode writes lines made to be spoken. Upload an .srt, get it back in another language, with every timestamp exactly where it was.

Translate Image

Your graphic, in their language. Before it translates, Feels Local is designed to read your image: what it is, who it's for, and which brand names must stay. Then the AI is asked to adapt idioms, tone and date formats, match the original typeface and color, and keep your layout, photos and logos.

Translate PDF

Same page, new language. For PDFs with selectable text, Feels Local is designed to write the translation back onto your original page, matching its size, weight, color and alignment, with photos and graphics left in place. Use the 12 localization styles for PDFs, plus your Glossary (Pro and Business) and Brand Kit (Business).

Live Translate

Speak. See it. Hear it. Speak, and be heard in another language: captions of what you said and of the translation fill in as you talk, and the translation is spoken aloud. Live Translate can translate your speech into 74 languages.

Who's building this

I'm Rey. I'm building Feels Local and sharing the relaunch as I go, numbers included.

What is Feels Local?

Feels Local translates text (TXT, DOCX), SRT subtitle files, images and PDFs, and has a Live Translate mode for speech. Not word-for-word: the same text can be localized as playful social copy, formal business text or natural dubbing dialogue.

When can I use it?

Relaunching Tuesday 5 January 2027. Everyone on this list gets an email on launch day with the link to start.

Is there a free plan?

Yes. From 5 January: Free plan available, no credit card needed. Before launch day, you'll get an email with what you can do on the Free plan.

What happens to my files?

To translate your content, Feels Local sends it to the AI providers behind each feature, and translations can be kept in a short-term cache for up to 24 hours. Text and subtitle files you upload are deleted from our server as soon as their text is read. Images are deleted after processing, and PDFs are kept only while the job runs and for a short download window. You keep ownership of your content. Delete your account any time from Settings.
